How To Stop Bleeding Fast

Injuries and certain medical conditions can result in bleeding. This can trigger fear and anxiety, but bleeding has a healing purpose. Still, you need to understand how to treat common bleeding incidents like cuts and bloody noses. When your skin is cut or scraped, you begin to bleed. This because vessels in the area are damaged. Bleeding serve as useful purpose because it helps to clean out a wound. But too much bleeding can cause serious issues. Here are some useful tips which helps us to overcome from such kind of conditions.

  • Help the person to remain clam, if the cut is large and bleeding heavily, have them lie down. If the wound is on an arm or leg raise the limb above the heart to slow bleeding.
  • Remove any visible objects in the wound that are easy to remove.
  • Use your bare bands to apply direct pressure only as a last resort .
  • Remove or cut clothing around wound that are easy to remove. Control bleeding before cleaning wound, and always try to elevate angle of injured area.
  • Add vaseline to injured area, waxy texture prevents blood from moving out side.
  • Apply white vinegar, the astringent properties of vinegar helps to disinfect and clot small cuts.
  • Put some cornstarch on injured area.
  • Use spider webs, the web will stanch the blood flow and give your cut to clot internally.
